Thermally active nickel titanium archwires with copper that are activated by body heat for easier engagement and performance, and increased patient comfort. Ideal initial wire for bracket alignment, impacted canines and high cuspids. Austenitic start temperature of approximately 19°C and finish temperature of approximately 27°C. Pliable and deforms easily out of the mouth, making insertion much easier. At mouth temperature, archwire becomes super-elastic, providing gentle continuous force. Easy ligation even with severe malocclusions. Lighter force allows earlier use of rectangular wires. Ideal with pretorqued brackets, and with a greater working range than super-elastic wires.
